Farmer’s Market returns to Luseland

People from Luseland and area were excited to have the Luseland Farmer’s Market up and running once again after several years of absence. The Luseland Hall Committee did an excellent job of organizing the market, and also prepared a soup and sandwich meal for lunch. Alberta Reiber, a member of the committee, explained that funds raised would go towards replacing the boiler in the hall.

Fourteen vendors came out for the market. They included home businesses and businesses from Kindersley, Consort, Wetaskiwin, Senlac, Macklin, Unity, Kerrobert, Provost, Luseland, as well as the Springwater Hutterite Colony. The products offered included vegetables, baking, natural bath products, fragrances, jewelry, kitchen products, metal work, art work and flowers. “We had a good assortment of products,” Alberta noted.

She estimated approximately 90 people attended the market, and the hall committee had prepared just enough food to feed the hungry crowd. “We had a raffle,” Audrey added. “And Pam Bergen from Luseland won a beautiful gift basket of products donated by local businesses.”
