Remembering a Kerrobert farmer who made the news

Lorne Smith from Kerrobert and his stock dog Kit were featured on television in 2000. According to an article in The Clarion the registered border collie and her handler Lorne Smith of Kerrobert finished in third place at the Stock Dog Shoot-out Competition, which ran in conjunction with the Calgary Stampede.

Kit and his handler were showcased on the program Top Dogs, along with the top ten finishers. The high energy competition featured 40 of the top stocks dogs in the world.
