Seniors serve homemade goodness

By Joan Janzen

The ladies at Kerrobert Seniors Centre were once again serving homemade pie on Wednesday afternoon at the Seniors Hall in Kerrobert. They had taken a break throughout the summer months, and were happy to serve the community once again.

Six dedicated ladies were working in the kitchen, and each of them had brought several delicious homemade pies. There were at least six kinds of pie to choose from, served with coffee and ice cream.

Funds from the pie sales go towards operating costs for their facility. Approximately seventy-five customers came through their doors, enjoying friendly visiting as well as their pie and coffee. There were also some hungry students present who had just returned from planting trees at the Kerrobert Fairgrounds.

The seniors regularly serve pie and coffee every other Wednesday.
